Ok seem to be having issues with my TP-Link TL-WN951N PCI wifi card as it it s constantly dropping connection and I have read up on it and seems it has been a common issue with ubuntu and an older kernel so I updated to kernel 3.2.18 and still getting constant drops a work around was to use wicd instead of the built in maanger on ubuntu and that hasn't really helped me out. I may need to install the windows driver via ndiswrapper to get things working correctly
