you have to enable gdm in the pcc -> System start -> configure display manager -> tick gdm and press ok

However, I've never, ever, ever EVER, seen this option before. I've never toggled this option before! Wow! I' jumped back into the KDE DE, but how does GDM affect KDE and the other DEs?
Sorry to be so slow on the uptake, but with each new day, Linux presents a new feature I've never seen or used before. Pretty amazing.

i guess this is why I love this OS so much.
But, my session splach screen has changed and that's okay.
I just don't understand why XFCE was available in the past with my KDM session manager and now it's not. Unless, in the past, I was using GDM all along and never knew it?
