OK, you did say "albums"!  I presume you mean 12" vinyl.

Five that I do have:

1. Blind Faith original cover, played 3 times, will sell for oh $65million or so
2. Cream "Disraeli Gears", 2nd print with the dayglo ink.
3. Alice Cooper "School's Out" foldout cover, but someone pinched the paper panties
4. The Who "Live At Leeds" with as far as I can tell, all the original paraphernalia
5. Golden Earring "Moontan", original Polydor foldout cover.

Five that I dont!
1. John Mayall "Blues From Laurel Canyon", ... if I ever get my hands on whoever stole it .....
2. Steely Dan "Can't Buy A Thrill", have one copy that's unplayable but I'd really like to hear the originals again
3. The Small Faces "Ogden's Nut Brown Flake", ... again if I ever get near whoever stole the original octagonal cover
4. The Ilse of Wight Festival, the one with Alvin Lee doing "I'm Goin' Home", just to hear that again!
5. Uriah Heep "Salisbury", the original cover.  I've got an American reprint but the cover just isn't the same.

Some great lists.  :)

My number 1: The Best of James Taylor  8)

For 4 decades James Taylor has soothed my soul.

The remaining 9 would require more time and consideration than I'd be willing to invest.

This is easy, because at the moment, I only have around 10 albums. Did a way with a lot of soundtrack music.

01. (Unknown artist) - Descent I (PC game)
02. (Various artist) - Descent II; redbook edition (PC game)
03. Mikko Tarmia - Penumbra; episode 1 (PC game)
04. Mikko Tarmia - Penumbra; episodes 2 & 3 (PC game)
05. Rimsky-Korsakov - Schererazade
06. Tchaikovsky - Symphony 6
07. Zelda - Ocarina of Time (game)
08. Zelda - Ocarina of Time 2 - Majoras Mask (game)
09. Zelda - Special (Ocarina of Time & Majoras Mask; orchestrated)
10. Zelda - Twilight Princess (game)

Now there are some horses of a different color.  :D

I'm the oddball, sort of like Monk from the TV show. Different than most. My music is not common in a persons playlist.

Accept - Restless And Wild (my first album was Metal Heart, and the rest is in my cupboard, too )
Depeche Mode - Black Celebration ( there some more )
The Sisters Of Mercy - First And Last And Always (All releases in my cupboard)
Running Wild - Under Jolly Rogers ( All 80, and 90 LP's are still in my cupboard )
U.D.O - Animal House ( What should i say, Udo Dirkschneider is awesome )
The Invincible Spirit - Current News
Deep Purple - In Rock
The Cure - Staring At The Sea
Fields Of The Nephilim - Earth Inferno/Live

What's your favorites albums?

I am impressed, too. Just would change U.D.O. Animal house with Faceless world. It is pity Matthias Dieth does not deal music anymore.

Tad surprised that Jimi Hendrix isn't on anyone's list

But as people have mentioned it can be difficult with only 10 choices

I like Band Of Gypsy's and others. Just didn't think of it when I was making my list. Jimi has to be in there.

I agree that Hendrix is deserving - but as you mention it is tough when only allowed 10 choices.
Additional artists that I would have mentioned if I had more choices include Janis Joplin, Moody Blues, The Doors, Elvis Presley, Queen, Cars, Brinsley Schwarz, Kansas, Patsy Cline and others.

This is a nice sneaky way to get in more than the 10 I listed earlier.

Queen, I don't know how I could have left out Queen. See the spur of the moment choices and only 10 leave a lot out. I could do better with about 25 but then the thread would get crazy. 10 was good.

4. The Ilse of Wight Festival, the one with Alvin Lee doing "I'm Goin' Home", just to hear that again!

You sure you weren't referring to the classic Woodstock version? God I love me some Alvin Lee! What a freakin' guitarist...
