Cannot upgrade firefox via synaptic
« on: January 18, 2013, 04:17:27 AM »
Hello friends,

I am using pclinuxos - kde 2012. I tried many times to upgrade Firefox 14.0.1 via synaptic but failed. The synaptic manager just crashes (rather disappears). When I press Reload button in synaptic I get errors below:

Synaptic uses these two repositories:

http://ftp.vim.org/ibiblio/distributions/pclinuxos/megagames/apt/
http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/pclinuxos/apt/

I am pretty much at a loss right now. I cannot install any other software. The synaptic crashes (rather disappears). Will appreciate every suggestion in this regard.

Thanks in advance.

Read the first post in this thread, and replace your /etc/apt/sources.list with that shown in Option 3: manually add new sources.list. All the mirrors have been modified due to our having to move our prime repository mirror.

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?
