i'm impressed to see how much of you use microsoft mouses

also how many use those trackballs, probably that means something, i don't know what but it must mean something

The track ball is an interesting thing. I got one about 5 or 6 years ago. I only use it with my desktop. I use my laptop 99% of the time. So I don't use it much.
When I did use it a lot  it was great. Your hand just naturally wraps around it.
Once you get used to it a regular mouse seems very strange.
There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

My long-term mouse was a Kensington Lifetime Mouse.  It had a couple wheels on the bottom.  The company never released them with USB, only 9-pin serial and PS/2, and eventually the feet abraded away, which interfered with the wheels' rotation.  Then, when I wanted a mouse wheel, I got a Logitech Trackman with a thumb trackball.  The buttons gave out on it after a few years of MMORPG, so now I contemplate its replacement, the Logitech M570 wireless trackball, and its price tag, and sigh.  These days I use inexpensive wired Logitech optical mice.
