We finally got the compu to him last Wednesday. Since it's older equipment, i had a hard time with the keyboard - doh - until i switched it with the mouse's input. i can't believe that they fit into each others port.
By then we figured the mouse was kaput but he chirped up and said he had a couple of left-over ones that he thought didn't work from previous hand-me-downs. i told him i'd take one of them home and try it out. By that time it was time to go to our church group's Ayyam-i-Há service project for the day, a visit to one of the retired folks home.
Today is Sat. and the Fast starts. We had a party here at the house last night and he and his mom stayed over. He wanted to continue programming last night after the party but it was 12 A.M. and i was shot so i had to tell him that we'd continue in the morning.
We'll see how it goes. He and his mom have open house for prayers in the P.M. every Wednesday now, so i'm planning on going and getting there early to see how the machine is coming and to also give him some tips on the O.S. Maybe we can learn how to install a different boot screen - he really liked (i knew he would) the Steam Punk one. It's really an eye-catcher!
Dat's enough. Gotta go back to bed. Have a great morning!
