net status applet missing[SOLVED]
« on: January 14, 2013, 10:03:20 AM »
I'm using LXDE 3.2.18.  My net status applet in the panel is missing, how do I get it back?  (It's not in the add applet section either)  Synaptic does not have it as a separate item.  Who would ever suspect this would go missing?

When trying to re-install lxpanel, I get an error message stating extra output was generated, real useful message.

What else can I install or go to to find IP info easily?

I'm not a LXDE user but maybe this could help?

Is net_applet started?

You can start it under start menu > More Applications > Monitoring > Net Applet

To check will it start by LXDE Session start, right click on Net_Applet in lxpanel > Settings > Always launch on startup, tick on.

Hope it helps

Thanks Daniel,
It's always been on the lxpanel since I put it there many months ago.  I must have forgotten where I got it from.  Better question is what made it go away?
Thanks for the two-bits agmg, but the lxpanel didn't go away, the net-applet went away.
