They Must Be Out There!
« on: January 09, 2013, 04:13:05 PM »
Billions of Earthlike Planets Crowd Milky Way?

Our galaxy is chock-full of rocky worlds, new research suggests

Tens of billions of Earthlike worlds are strewn across the Milky Way, many of them circling stars very much like our own sun, astronomers said today.

Earlier research suggested that rocky planets might be much more abundant around small stars than sunlike ones.

There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

If life evolves on some other rocky world different from ours, they would think that it could not exist anywhere but in their perfect little world.

Life exists, even on our own planet that would wonder, "how do humans survive in that environment, above the sea"  ;D

Ah, even if Einstein is right that would only be true if the aliens' lifespan is close to ours. What if they live ten times longer? A hundred times longer?  ;)

I really like that film. Two great actors and a great story. What more could you want?
I recently read the K-Pax trilogy, which was an enjoyable read, but it didn't elaborate on the means of travel except it was "on a beam of light."
