Brings back memories. My Mother had one like that.
There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

Same here... Adjustable, but you had to know how to hold it to get the "adjustment" correct.  ;)

This might sound unlikely but I found one of those in a little thrift type store today. Honestly I did. I go there looking for picture frames and walked by a shelf with some kitchen utensils on it. There it was just lying there. I didn't buy it. It was kind of old and used. I find this remarkable after not thinking about one of those for years. We talk about it in a thread and I find one.
Life is indeed strange.

I still use one just like that for slicing velveeta. I get the perfect thickness for making grilled cheese
sandwiches which I love.  For cheddar or swiss or pepper jack I use a knife.
Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right.
