Full monty download

Gooday folks. I downloaded The "Full Monty " ISO, it took over 24 hrs and is now sitting being scanned for viruses by my paid for AVG. How long should I let this process go on for?

Why do you scan an iso image of Linux with an antivirus for Windows viruses?

Till its ready or stop scanning ;)
It is like scanning a complete DVD, you are sure there is no virus on the DVD but still waiting ;)
My advise, stop scanning and burn the iso, reboot and install, never scanning again.

P.S.
Don't forget to choose manual partitioning with FullMonty you need a 20G / partition for the system where the automatic installer does 7 or 8, enough for the standard PCLinuxOS iso's but not FullMonty.

Instead of running a virus scan you should be running an md5sum check of the .iso image. If the md5sum checks out, you have a legitimate, uncorrupted, download, and you are ready to burn the image to a DVD.

Thank you all for your replies. I didn't start the scan, it was scanning when I came back to the machine. I had been out testing brew quality with a mate visiting from Canada so didn't think about other options. I will get on with installation and see how I go.
