I had setup ps3mediaserver some months ago for my father in law, so he could watch movies on his TV.
I don't remember the whole procedure but I do remember we had to set manual IP addresses and DNS for both the computer and the PS3 to be able to access it. And he only had one machine. Maybe if you set different IPs for the computers you will be able to distinquish them in PS3?
and i just had a thought i'm on a secured home server....mine
with the ps3 media server program would it broadcast my music files for example over to my neighbor who just so happens to have his ps3 on when i do or would it just broadcast it inside of my home network ??
Can he access your network? I guess not, if your WIFI is password protected.
So he can't access your media server. It is available only for those who are connected to the network.
