I am running PCLinuxOS 2013
« on: January 03, 2013, 05:53:49 AM »
Is it a change of strategy or was this happening all along and I did not notice?

Last update I did changed my version to PCLinuxOS 2013.
My vague recollections of previous such changes suggest it happening not exactly in relation to calendar year but some other unknown time.

Anybody?

It feels to be the right practice.
But I thought this was not the practice followed earlier. That is why ...

I normally leave my computers in standby or in hibernate but since I am on vacation I shut my computers off and noticed that on booting them they both showed PCLinuxOS 2013 in the bootup menu.  Nothing special done.  Just ran the updates in Synaptic.
Turn off your computer and do something useful.

I thought it was cool, and painless really.
Made me proud as it just happened to become PCLinuxOS 2013 pretty much at the right time. I guess this version has been 'rolling' since v. 2011.09  :o

Nice idea, thanks 'Team.'

If I don't update in 2013 will that mean I will never grow old?  ::)
There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!
