I like it !

There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

I know all of you guys don't understand. It's a crazy hobby of mine.

When I was a kid it was no big deal to own a Case or an Old Timer and if the blade said "Schrade" you knew you had a good knife.

I was taught very strict rules about how to handle a knife and how not to handle it. All my life I had one in my pocket and I guess I figured out how to sharpen one pretty well along the way.

They would all cut pretty good through tape and open letters or zip ties with little force. I never really gave it much thought until one day, I used a quality knife with quality steel, somebody pinch me! This was how a knife was supposed to cut?!!! All these years I thought I had a "good" knife in my pocket and I was wrong. As it turns out, A knife requires almost NO force to cut something. Only back and forth motion.

I have been "hooked" on good steel compositions since.

20 years have gone by and I am still like a kid over knives.  ;D

Nah, I totally understand your love of Knives Rudge; they're works of Art that are practical.

I go weak in the Knee's going into a Hardware store, all those beautiful tools... (dribble)

Actually there's quite a few stores I go weak in the knees, I've been banned from so many music stores it's not funny.  ::)

I can well understand you. (And our third president, Pehr Evind Svinhufvud, is said to have worn a puukko - a Finnish belt-knife -
even on formal occasions with white tie and tails.)

I have read that in earlier days "1700s or so" , you were expected to bring your own "knife" for a dinner party.

No knife?,, no steak.  ;D

It was only after several outbreaks of drunken violence that the "butter knife" was invented.

It had no sharp points and no sharp edges and was supplied by the host at the dinner table. (the host supplying utensils for food consumption was unheard of) It remains one of the most successful knife designs ever.

After the invention of the "Butter Knife", guests had to "check" their sharp toys at the door and retrieved them as they left once the party was over.

Now days there is still a "split" decision.. "Should I be prepared for minor emergencies that could save someone's life"? Even mine?!!

Or be politically correct and "NOT" carry the most useful, personal tool ever created by man?

Bald Brick; "And our third president, Pehr Evind Svinhufvud"; that's a bit of a tongue twister, mainly the 'Surname', my dentures become unstable trying to say it.  ;D
Very important to know all these 'titbits' of information, seriously I love it.

The Art of 'Story Telling' should come freely, especially in these days; thanks for the Story Rudge, another good one.
