KDE restarts previously running apps? [SOLVED]

Hi,
I recently (last week or two?) noticed a new phenomenon:
If I log off when apps are running (e.g. I had firefox, dolphin, konsole and xsane on various desktops),
they automatically reappear at my next log on.

a) what is the name of this functionality?
b) was it announced somewhere, and described?
c) is it configurable (can it be disabled/enabled)?

or... d) is this a bug, not a feature, and only affecting me???

Go to Configure Your Desktop -> Startup & Shutdown -> Session Management
Check if "Restore previous session" is selected.

Could be you have restore previous session checked marked. Go to Configure my Computer>Startup and Shutdown>Sessions Management> On Login.

Must be the latter, because I've depended on that option for years.

Configure Your Desktop --> System Administration --> Startup and Shutdown --> Sessions Management --> Restore previous session.
