While we're talking 'Steve Gibson' -- pop over to ShieldsUP! and have your ports scanned.
https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

Hang on, are we talking the same Steve Gibson, Andy ?
Suppose so, get a super heavy password, then use LastPass, ...
Perfect Passwords GRC's Ultra High SecurityPassword Generator:
https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm

I don't like 'clouds', they add that extra 'step', that I don't wanna take.

I'm sure if things were different, like I wasn't happy with keypassx, I'd go take a look see. My five cents.

When the blood stops rushing to my head tonight as the World turns, being 'DownUnder' and Gravity quits filling it, I'll go check out http://sparewotw.wordpress.com/2012/06/18/update-your-lastpass-to-version-2-0/
Sounds Awesome  :o
If Andy and Menotu recommend it, gee whiz, that's what we're here for, to glean info from those smarter, and/or more active than ourselves.

That's the one Tony.

Btw... Just to add. Only recently Steve added a new feature to the ShieldsUp scanner. It now can scan Your router for the uPnP vulnerability that has become very popular amongst blackhats recently.

AND LastPass went into 2.0.1 for Firefox / Linux (and other browsers afaik). New features... They also keep adding awesome security features like for example You can enable logging into your account from only those countries you are living in / traveling to. You can disable the tor network logins. You can change Your password iterations (I keep mine at 20 000) to make them harder to bruteforce... And so on and so forth...

I have introduced Hootiegibbon - former Forum Admin to LastPass. He was a skeptic and hated it at first... - after a while he publicly admitted that he is switching from lightweight www browsers like netsurf / w3m to Firefox coz Firefox has the best LastPass support and it's just something he cannot live without anymore...

Regards.

Andrzej

I'm sold, not that I have a lot of important Data to loose, but if someone can access your passwords, they can grab a bit of your Bandwidth for their BotNet. Gotta ptotect your Bandwidth plus your Data, or at least be aware people are out to get it.
Nice Andy, you're onto it, I like it !  :D

I notice no one has mentioned KWallet. Anyone know how secure it is?

I only use KWallet for webmail and forum accounts. All the important stuff is in "Personal Info Keeper" (A Windows product I've used for years - works under Wine, except for drag and drop). I'm assuming the real weakness of KWallet, or any other PW manager, is the browser plugin.

One question.   How does LastPass handle logins with multiple screens ?

I can't get Keepass to do it without setting up two database entries.
Although it's supposed to do it automatically.

Sorry... You would have to try it out or ask at LastPass forum. I am only using it as a Firefox add-on.

Regards.
