Thunderbirds are gone
« on: December 27, 2012, 02:48:35 AM »
Gerry Anderson the man behind classic shows, Thunderbirds, Stingray and Joe 90 passed away on Dec 26. Watching Thunderbirds was a big part of my childhood and I still watch when they are repeated. He was a programme maker well ahead of his time. F.A.B Gerry

There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

Sad to hear of this, but not unexpected.  Mr. Anderson was battling dementia for the last couple of years, and did a lot of work during his lifetime with the Alzheimer's Foundation.

The world is a bit less warm and hopeful without him.

This obituary from The Guardian gives details.

F.A.B., Gerry!  Rest easy.
