Office problems
« on: December 25, 2012, 02:38:55 PM »
Sadly, LibreOffice prints landscape documents half on, half off, a portrait piece of paper.

Fully updated system using Synaptic.  Repo is http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/pclinuxos/pclinuxos/apt/

When I try to install Abiword, I get the following message in Synaptic:

Unresolvable dependencies:
abiword:
 Depends: libabiword-2.8.so
 Depends: libgsf-gnome-1.so.114

Trying to install Calligra gives these unresolvable dependancies:

calligra:
 Depends: calligra-krita (= 2.4.2-1pclos2012)
 Depends: calligra-kexi (= 2.4.2-1pclos2012)
 Depends: calligra-kexi-driver-mysql (= 2.4.2-1pclos2012)
 Depends: calligra-kexi-driver-postgresql (= 2.4.2-1pclos2012)
 Depends: calligra-kexi-driver-sybase (= 2.4.2-1pclos2012)
 Depends: calligra-kexi-map-form-widget (= 2.4.2-1pclos2012)
 Depends: calligra-reports-map-element (= 2.4.2-1pclos2012)

Any ideas?

Known issue, guess gonna be solved with a release update to 2.5.

Landscape printing is a ongoing problem with LO.

You can go around this by choosing a postscript level (2 mostly works) instead of PDF in Printer settings > Properties > Device

Annoying stuff they seems to have no hurry to fix.

Thanks bicol_willem, that made the difference.  Had to do it in LO Printer Administration to make it a LO-wide change.

JohnW, I look forward to the new arrivals.
