vidcollector:
I have downloaded some scripts from
https://github.com/ktoso/g73-keyboard-backlight-sh
I have made the scripts executable
However there are folders in the sripts that don't exit on my machine and attempt to create them fails with "could not make folder, when using Konquerer in super user mode.
However is the /sys/class/leds folder the correct folder or should /sys/class backlight be the right folder
So 2 questions

Which Asus laptop do you have in mind? N series? You can try to add to kernel boot acpi_backlight=vendor, but I think you'll have to wait until we reach kernel 3.5/3.6

/sys/class/backlight should be the right one

This is for keyboard backlighting?
Wow... what a nice feature. I use a Saitek Eclipse Limited Edition Red, myself. Works well without extra drivers, and I like the red lighting.
Later On,
