[ SOLVED ] widget
« on: December 24, 2012, 04:47:09 PM »
Hello,

I downloaded the miminon widget from Panel - Panel Options - Get New Widgets - Download Plasma Widgets. I looked in Categories but can`t see it there.

How do i add it to the panel at the bottom next to Knemo ?

Derek.

P.S. Merry Christmas to all the members.

The miminon widget: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/miminon?content=104557 is a .skz file (minimon0.3.skz).
It needs installed with superkaramba so you need to install superkaramba from repository with synaptic.

Superkaramba widgets are desktop widgets so you can't place them in the systemtray (part of the panel) or in the panel.
Simply said they are too big to place in a panel or systemtray.

John, Thanks for the help.

I installed the Network Monitor widget. But it does not show what i want. I was looking for one that shows my download and upload speed in numbers not a graph.

Derek..

Aha.. just install Knemo, it have a graphic/text option and much more and it's placed in the systemtray of the panel (needs a desktop reboot).
