Last week I searched other Linux Distribution forums to see what was being said about PCLinuxOS past and present. Here are some of the posts that caught my eye. Some are new and a few go back to 2006. I guess this is a testimonial to everyone who has been a part of our community.
12/18/12 - I saw this PCLinuxOS and thought I'd give it a go, I'm a diehard xxxxx fan and it would take a lot to get me to permanently change. I've tried many other Linux distros and was less than impressed, however this PCLinuxOS changed things, the install was dead simple, and most of my hardware worked out of the box.
12/17/12 - PCLinuxOS has mylivecd that makes it so easy to make an iso.
11/7/12 - I was so disillusioned that I looked around for another Linux distro and have managed to install PCLinuxOS without any problems at all. I am so impressed with the system and especially the installation wizard (even told me when I had my caps lock on!!) that I will now install it on my laptop and be rid of xxxx. Sorry #1, you may have lots of admirers, but you can count me out.
12/14/12 - The new release is nice, good with hardware but slower than PCLinuxOS and less stable.
9/5/12 - I tried running your latest Live CD, I guess as Root, but I had to set up a user password for myself. Why? The installation didn't warn me to have different passwords for Root and User. I tried but, I got a warning my user password was too short, so I backspaced and made them the same, the install was ok, but now it won't let me get to a desktop. Why can’t we just do it like PCLinuxOS does it straight forward and easy?
9/20/07 - PCLinuxOS is released for a while now and has become #1 on Distrowatch, so it's attracting a lot of attention. I've played with it quite a bit and have the Xfce version and the E-17 version installed. Both are rock-solid and full-featured.
7/9/07- I much prefer Texstar's more mature attitude over at PCLinuxOS where the download is free, the help is all free, but it's understood that if you have the funds and appreciate the distro, then a donation is a good idea. As a bonus, for $25.00 and above, you get a high-speed dedicated server and new packages a day or two earlier. It’s easy see why PCLinuxOS is so popular.
2/8/06 - PCLinuxOS is the best desktop Linux that I have ever used. Everything is set up for you. Java.... Flash.... movie and sound codecs. It was really great!
9/2/06 - I'm running it on my old machine. I love it because: wireless works with a few mouse clicks, mplayer plugin built into browser, lots of pre-installed apps, apt-get, synaptic, PCLinuxOS config center and everything else I need was preinstalled.
8/31/06 - Many of you know that I multi-boot distros and have an affection for PCLinuxOS, a relatively new distro that's exceptionally well done and strives to be a complete Windows replacement. The community is very active and has branched out in some very clever ways. Today, they became probably the first distro to release its own online magazine, PCLinuxOS Magazine: http://pclosmag.com/index.html.

Always good to spread ideas around and check out what others are doing.
5/5/06 - Everyone in the Linux community is trying hard to make Linux more friendly for new users and functional as a desktop version. I've tried many Linux versions in a live cd format. There's one distribution that beats all the rest in terms of multimedia features and user friendly interface. PCLinuxOS is the not so well known. I have tried this distro and I have found it to be very user friendly. The multimedia tools that are bundled with it are more than anyone can ask for. So I ask everyone to give it a try and tell me what you think of the new version of the PCLinuxOS that's been released (I don't exactly remember the version name). I don't know about you all but I think I'll recommend this distro of Linux to any newbie to Linux. Please do try it out and tell me about your experience.
At this moment PCLinuxOS is light years ahead the others. Let’s not forget that. Thank you Neal and all others past and present.
