Dolphin locking up <solved>
« on: December 23, 2012, 11:22:26 PM »
Recently I've noticed an annoying problem.  When ever I am checking the files in various folders, Dolphin will become non responsive and the only solution is to kill it and reopen it.  Any idea what would cause this to happen? ???

Try to isolate with which folder/s the problem is happening.

What kinds of files are in there .......  and do they have valid names etc ...

Unless others have had the problem, it will be a matter of elimination of possibilities.

You could also try starting Dolphin from terminal to see if there are any error messages.

One of solutions could be to disable the Dolphin info panel (right panel).
You can toggle it with the F11 key.
And test then if it solve the locking issue.

Thanks guys, I'll try those suggestions.

Update:  After closing the info panel, I haven't had anymore problems.  I'll mark this as solved.
