Dolphin sends to 'trash' [Solved]
« on: December 21, 2012, 04:59:17 AM »
Hi,
I am up to date in Synaptic:
$ kde4-config -v
Qt: 4.8.2
KDE Development Platform: 4.9.2
kde4-config: 1.0

I noticed (to my displeasure) that Dolphin's right-click menu on a file
no longer lists 'Delete' as an option, but rather 'Move to Trash'.
(Isn't that soooooo windozzy?)

I saw that I can get Delete by pressing 'shift'. I find that a pain in the
neck, or other parts of the anatomy.

How can I get Dolphin to put back Delete as the standard menu item?
I did not find it in the settings, but maybe I looked in the wrong places.

Thanks,
Shimon

Settings --> Configure Dolphin --> Services and check the "Delete" option...

Not really. Both Apple and OS/2 used trash-cans/trash-folders long before Windows.
Feed the trolls!

I should have remembered that, I was an OS/2 user for several years (from 2.0 through Warp4).
Oh well.. memory...

Thanks for the comment :-)
