Jimbo,

Can you please clean out any potential residues from an earlier run of lomanager: From a root konsole enter:
Code: [Select]
cd /tmp; rm -fr vtest index.html* lomanager-*.rpm* xsulomanager LO-rpms /root/LOtmp
after that run lomanager as normal user NOT as root.
If you still get this problem try running from a konsole:
Code: [Select]
lomanager --no-updatetest --no-vtest
good luck,
-p.

Thanks Pinoc,

The first code you gave me, run as root, didn't make any difference.  After running it I ran the lomanager script from the menu as a user and just kept going around again.

The second code you gave me, run in a terminal as a user, brought up the usual request for root password, then ran perfectly.

Thanks again for your help.

Oops - spoke too soon! :(
After I select all the defaults, it starts downloading, and does so for about twenty minutes, then stops.  Terminal output is:

[us@localhost ~]$ lomanager --no-updatetest --no-vtest

[us@localhost ~]$
Internet connection working

/usr/bin/konqueror

Have now installed LibreOffice 3.6.4.3 from their tar.gz without problems. :D
