Usually a lot more expensive and complicated. Nettalk and Majicjack are very cheap plug and play devices whose initial cost is under $50 and includes several months service and that cost under $3.00 a month for service after you use the included service.  No software needed on your computer. Just plug into your router or use WiFi and plug your phone into the device. All you have to do with either is go to their site and set up your account. The difference being you need to install a Windows program to do that on Majicjack but only need to use your browser for Nettalk.

It would be interesting to see the figures on which you base that statement.

The subject is OT for this thread though.  :(

Yes OT and perhaps when I researched voip I missed the ultra cheap very easy to use one so I could be wrong. My figures are based on what I actually paid.

I saw this post and know about the download and even tried it but it didn't do anything. So I am wondering when netflix-player will be finally in the repository? I know it works maybe not well but even some netflix function is better than nothing at all. Also wondering about the test repository I tried to access it but have had problems since I don't completely understand Linux and am new to it. I know that the new program is there and I am willing to take the risk. Thanks for your help!
