I actually watched the whole video. Quite interesting.
In rural areas and areas that are blanketed with snow almost every day of winter will benefit greatly from this.

Obviously in conjunction with this is a powerful vehicle. This probably has no use to a smaller vehicle with a low horsepower engine.

Also, not for those with a thin wallet. A similar type of invention goes for as much as $75,000.

Don't think I will be getting that in my Christmas stocking.  ::)
There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

I want the version made for a motorcycle. Now that is cool! Wow I would have to buy a different bike to use them on though, but I like the idea.

I like motorcycles, but when there is snow outside, I want to be riding inside!

I rode a motorcycle about 10 miles to school during my last two years of high school, even in sub-freezing weather. I don't want to repeat that experience. ;D

The only time I refuse to ride my Goldwing GL1200 is when there is snow or ice on the road. As far as the cool weather there is always my heated gear. Most of the time though all I need is the rain gear. I guess I should buy one of the newer Goldwings, they have heated seats, hand grips and toe warmers, though I do have a pair of aftermarket heated hand grips on my old girl (29 years old)

I couldn't see the point of creating a new thread for this, but I just looked out of the window. We are having our first snow of the winter. Only a couple of inches at the moment, and it's very light. It is something of a novelty in the south-west of the UK.

To all of y'all who wouldn't ride a bicycle in snow:

WIMPS!!!!

The ONLY thing that kept me from riding my bicycles in Detroit winters was ice.  Not snow  (just keep your front wheel pointed where you want to go), not -40 wind chills (gor-tex), not salt, not traffic.  But sleet, hail, or freezing rain, oh yes.  I'll stay off my bicycle in weather like that.  But maybe if I'd had studded tires.....

We are not talking about riding a bicycle in the snow or ice, we are talking about riding a GoldWing Motorcycle (a.k.a. bike). Riding a fully dressed 800 pound motorcycle in the snow or ice isn't my idea of fun.

Really good shot of My Rainier!

Thanks. Most of my mountain pics don't show enough contrast between the mountain and the sky, but the light was just right for this one. :)

It is one of the better shots of the Mountain then I have seen in awhile.  The last time I got a nice shot of it was while flying from Yakima to Seattle and back to Portland
