It looks like a "Snow Globe".

I feel the urge to shake it and watch the snow fall.  ;D ;D

I was out just a bit ago to let the dog do his thing, and noticed that it is trying to snow again. Right now it is mixed rain and snow. Just a bit cooler it will be all white again in the morning.  My bikes are hating this weather

This white stuff and ice are the only two things I will NOT ride in.

This white stuff and ice are the only two things I will NOT ride in.

I think the physics of maneuvering a bike relies entirely on three things.

"friction, centrifugal force and gravity".

Remove friction from the equation and all you have left is centrifugal force and gravity.

This will keep you up right in a straight line (in a perfect world) but without "friction" you are screwed when trying to make a turn.  ;D

I don't think you need to worry. It's a long way to Antares.

Stranger things have happened.  ::) ::) ::) :D
There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

Don't worry, it's on its way here. :(

We are in a blizzard warning from 3:00 pm today until noon tomorrow.  We expect something between 6 and 10 inches (15-25 cm), with most guesses for us around 8 inches (20 cm).  Very windy, and blowing snow.

grnich should be in approximately the same boat.

Yuck.

Actually I like the snow when it is up in the mountains where it belongs. Luckily, where I live in Oregon, the mid Willamette valley (pronounced  Will-AM-it) it doesn't snow a lot or very much when it does.  We mainly get rain and lots of it, 40-45 inches annually.

I'll bet you really cringe when the radio and TV stations get new people who go on the air and talk about the "willa  metty" valley.

For some reason, they only do it once.

I remember flying back from Tennessee, the pilot came over the intercom saying if you look out the right side you will see the "willa mette" river, as we flew into Portland Airport.    To bad when flying in from the East the only river you can see is the "Columbia River"  Is a good reason to panic!  :o

For those that don't know the Portland International Airport sits along the bank of the Columbia river in NE Portland. And the Columbia river flows from the east to the west. The Willamette river (pronounced  Will-AM-it) is about 20 miles away and runs from the south thru Portland to the NW of Portland before joining the Columbia.

10 inches where my son lives across the river in Iowa, 7.5 where I work in west central Omaha,  and less than 4 where I live in Bellevue.  Temperatures stayed warm enough for the first few hours that it stayed rain longer. Of course, that means we had over an inch of "soft-frozen" slush under that four inches of snow.  And as temps plunged, that made for icy streets.   Not to mention the 40 000 that lost power because of the heavy wet snow and high winds. There's still a few thousand without power back.

url removed cos thats how I roll  ;D /url

I have seen these things. Kinda makes me wish I got more snow so I could justify getting some for my 4WD. ;)
