SOLVED - Synaptic
« on: January 08, 2013, 02:44:36 AM »
I have been running the Synaptic package manager. I searched and chose a program for upgrade/installation. The problem is that it's selected ok. But as soon as I choose apply the installation window displays then bombs out. No visible errors and no software installed. Can you help?

Thanks

Gary

First read this:

Second, did you hit Reload when you opened Synaptic, to refresh your packages list?
I guess not, because that would give you error messages.

Follow the instructions on that thread and change your mirror temporarily.
Once the transition is complete, everything will return to normal and all mirrors will be updated.
