ROTFLMAO! That's ingenious! I'm impressed ... and I love it!

I bet there's never a problem with overheating ... even without the fan.

Nice, but what about the dust?

With a fan of that size running, dust has no chance to settle!

the dust is your friend!

when this machine starts collecting enough(couple weeks), you turn off the machine and enjoy the silence

then, you finish cleaning it and turn it on again  :(

wait another couple weeks for more silence  :D

There seems to be an assumption that the fan is noisy.

That is not necessarily the case.

In fact the best way to get lots of airflow with as little noise as possible is to use a fan with large deep blades, running slowly.
This gives very little fan noise, with decent air movement.

After all, all that is required is airflow .....  not high speed air ......  ;)

What is in there that needs that much "air flow" ?

Probably an AMD Opteron.  ;)

What?

And, as to the dust issue - reduce the dust in the environment to conquer that!  Better for the computer and for you, your family, and pets.

Yeah, this case is one of the better mods I've seen this year!

What is in there that needs that much "air flow" ?

Because the airflow is dependent on the speed of the fan as well as its blades, we have no idea how much air flow it is designed or set to produce. Given that the physical structure is as in the pic, then the air flow depends on the speed.

Just like a ceiling fan, slow & quiet should provide sufficient air flow to keep whatever is in there cool  ;)

Ok, I'll buy that.  :)

:D :D   A good theory anyway  :D :D

It would not surprise me to learn that there is a speed controller for the fan atop the frame that is holding it  ;)
