Don't dismiss so easily, I gave them a throw-a-way name/email address to get a serial.
Then downloaded the .tgz archive for a local installation.
The whole thing runs to about 90 MB, which is a bit smaller than LO. It did open a LO .odt file no problem, although no great testing done. Looks ok. Maybe some gentle hacking to get rid of some png 'adverts'
Might be worth considering for a small installation.
The thing that keeps me with LO is PDF & 'LO Draw', which has turned into a really good pdf editing application.
Deleted Softmaker now, do not need 2 wordprocessors at present.
