[Solved] How change logon account ?
« on: December 16, 2012, 11:28:19 AM »
I've added several new accounts and I want to change the default logon to one of the new ones.

How do you change the default logon account (the one in the window that pops up if you use the gui logon) ?

I've tried searching the forum but if there's already an answer I must be searching for the wrong thing.

Hi Tovian,

I assume you are using kde and are referring to the login screen.

The controls are in Configure Your Desktop (icon on bottom) > System Administration > Login  Screen
There are a multitude of variations.

The Convenience tab lets you preselect a user.

If you hide users use the tab key to get to the user selection and start typing the user you want.

PERFECT - Thank you very much !!

I had checked that area many times but the bottom row of tools (System Administration) was hidden (overflowed off my screen) and I never noticed the scroll bar.

Thanks, again.
