This is taken from my recliner in my living room. My "home office" if you will. I do have a proper desk in another room with an old XP machine, but I rarely use it, too far away from the kitchen and the TV Yep, I still have a 17" 4:3 Samsung that's so old that I can't remember when I bought it. I've been looking at widescreen monitors but I can't bring myself to spend the cash on one.

Don´t bother, my favorite monitor is still 4:3. Never understood as to why we were presented with these wide screens. I don´t see any advantage in these things. (Best guess: Cheaper to produce = higher margin)

The only advantage to a widescreen that I can see is that many websites have gone to 16:9 so there is the left-right scrolling problem. I hate to scroll left-right.

There is a second reason why a 24-inch wide screen is good.

It is a great size for viewing some of God's great creations........

Besides that, big widescreen monitors are a blessing when you work with several documents at a time, read a document or search images in the web and write a presentation is easier.

Been meaning to get one of those "new fangled" digital camers. I would need to buy a Bluetooth adapter for my 'puter to download pics from my phone. not seeing that happening anytime soon.

Well, if I look at a bunch of my collection such "creations" on a wide screen it seems they all live in McDo those days....... Quite expanded....

i have to use xp because i need a good os that won't catch a virus easily, also something that doesn't have to be reinstalled each 6 months like those linux oses!
