Stuck with 800 x 600
« on: December 13, 2012, 12:04:48 PM »
I tried running PCLOS from CD/DVD and the only way I could do anything was to set the resolution to 800 x 600.

Will there be a hardware update soon?

ASUS K55a laptop, Core i5, 3rd generation, 4gb ram, 512GB traditional hard drive (5400rpm)

What if you choose "VESA" when booting the CD/DVD?

Ya, little by little we are seeing people having problems with newer hardware. I guess a "sprint for newer kernels" and stuff would do (small) wonders. Hope you can come over your problem by using vesa for now.

I think I had to use safe mode or whatever the 2nd option was.

It has been a few months since I tried.

So I went back to using windows until they get updated drivers.
