Epson WF-3540 Wireless printer (Solved)
« on: December 14, 2012, 07:23:53 AM »
I just bought this Epson all-in-one for my wife ( http://www.amazon.com/Epson-WorkForce-Smartphone-Compatible-C11CC31201/dp/B0091DPYDU/ref=pd_cp_e_0 )
and I am wondering that if I set it up for wireless - will she be able to print to it from her wired computer through
our wired/wireless Router ?

That would depend if the wired traffic is being routed to the wireless network.  Only you can answer that (since you set the networks  ;)).

If you can ping the wireless printer's IP address from the wired PC, then there is little likelihood that there will be any printing issues.  If not, then some accommodation need be made (what that is depends on your comfort level, willingness to change setups, and/or capabilities of networking equipment).

In my case (where the wireless network cannot be access from the wired side), i put the printer the the wireless network's DMZ, on the wireless router.  This made the printer appear to exist on the wired IP address of the wireless router...

Sorry it took so long to get back to this thread but was waiting for our family to have our
Christmas festivities.

Setup the New Printer for my wife and it detected our wireless network and printed flawlessly
right out of the box.

No worries.  Ours run through to the New Year (and cold/flu makes it a little harder to get online, sometimes).

Glad your inquiry is solved.
