D-Link DWA-551, shows SSID, but won't connect
« on: January 15, 2013, 04:09:30 PM »
I have placed in a D-Link DWA-551. When I rebooted the PC, it is showing wireless, SSID's, etc, but when wanting to connect, it says "Connection Failed". Going through the setup, it also says there are problems.

What am I missing?

Brand new pc with 08.2012. Even the livecd is showing the same results. Not all ssid's show up like the laptop used to. Even my hotspot doesn't work, its right next to the pc

Not sure I can say this is solved. I did nothing unique last night, didn't deal with any more drivers or anything. I just shut the PC off and went to bed. I woke up the next day, and turned it on. It was still disconnected. For fun, I thought I'd try it again. Left the room for a short while, came back, and it was working.
