Synaptic missing the "installed files" tab

I hope this is not a FAQ (I did made a seach in the forum).

I notice that in the synaptic package information window the "installed files" tab is missing, contrary to what happens in other distributions using synaptic.  Sometimes this information is useful, and for this reason I also use smart (another software manager, that displays the files for each installed package).   I know that I could use the line command "rpm -ql packagename", but then I need to know the exact packagename...

Is there any reason why synaptic does not list the package files?

footstep is looking for other information: which files are installed when installing a package and where.

Don't know why this is. Perhaps apt4rpm doesn't provide an interface to rpm -q --filesbypkg. You can always use Synaptic to find the exact package name and then use rpm to find the info - less elegant but still works. I can't imagine you'd need the info often. If you know which file you want you could also do rpm -qa --filesbypkg | grep <file> where <file> is the name of the file.
