What a lot of sand!

If we ever find a commercial use for extremely large quantities of that stuff there should be enough for a long time.

Nice pics Sammy ........  I really liked the 'white sands' one!  ;D

Wood and glass (it's made made of sand) can be used in construction:

I'm actually, of of Canadians that doesn't mind winter.

I think that a typical winter's day should be.... -10C for a high, with a -20C for a low.

-4 t0 -5, and the streets get slushy & your vehicles get all dirty.

-30 to -40, some vehicles don't want to start.  So -10 t0 -20 is the best winter's day.

If you live around the equator, you can't make snow huts, snow-men, throw show-balls, make taffy with snow.

I remember in my younger days... taking my car on a lake in mid-winter, at some speed, and slinging it around and around.

But don't you have to be mad to live in Canada, or is that just my delusion?

Every place you live can be great.  It depends on how you decide to make it work.

Though if I had to live in one of those hot countries, I would spend a lot of time inside with a air-conditioner running.
