Synaptic Error Message
« on: December 08, 2012, 07:29:46 AM »
Hello Folks:
On a fully updated PCLX12-KDE 4.9.2, I get this error message in synaptic while trying to reinstall Calibre:

While preparing for installation:

calibre-0.9.8-1pclos2012
error: rpmdbRemove: cannot read header at 0x1da5

Any clue to how resolve this?

The reason for reinstall is because today's synaptic up dates produced an error message regarding  installation of Calibre upgrade.
Thanks in advance!

I can verify the error message. I also got it while updating my system.

Even though I got the error message I was still able to run the previous installed version with no problem.
