We know about the problem. There's nothing that can be done that we are not already doing. Kicking at us won't correct ibiblio's problem. Try accepting what you've been told about this. (see reply #4) Try being patient while we work on creating a solution.     

Sorry Neal.  Certainly no kicking intended.  Just trying to put myself in the shoes of a newcomer to our site who wants to try PCLinuxOS for the first time.

Apologies, I thought the files were bad because the checksum came out as: f560add22032f0befc5be8a4fa71469f
the checksum given on all the mirrors I checked was: 94e44ce50f90a60a2d5a743a6a7aa06d

It seems from the link given by naoliviera that the first checksum is correct and that those on the mirrors are not.  Could the links to the mirrors perhaps be removed from the KDE download page until they are O.K?

If you go to the PCLINUXOS home page, click "Get PCLinuxOS" then "KDE Desktop", the checksums listed are, for the "full" version: 1eeb3575bb9bf23b0be675b47337a841 , and for the "MiniMe" version: 889fe549a8dbdcc5fba0ecb2e23851e6

It's easy (okay, easy for me, at least) to overlook that these are for the ".08" version - which is not what the torrents point to - they (correctly) link to a ".12" torrent.

Maybe the KDE Desktop information page could reflect the current version?

I've just downloaded LXDE 2012.12 from both the Finnish and Dutch sites, they give the same checksum. but it's different from the one supplied on the same sites.  The live CD I created from the Finnish site iso didn't work, stalled very early on in the loading process. 

Is this something to do with the problems with the host site?

I re-uploaded the ISO today. If you downloaded before the upload was complete, there would be a mismatch.

Thanks Neal, I'll try again later.  I certainly wasn't getting that number, but oddly I don't remember exactly what it was.

Tried again this morning (9.00 a.m. Newfoundland time).  Finnish site still gives the wrong checksum, but Australia1 seems OK.  Will try a live CD.
