Richard Stallman calls *buntu "spyware" because it tracks searches
Canonical plans to expand controversial search mechanism in *buntu 13.04.

Free Software Foundation President Richard Stallman today called Ubuntu Linux "spyware" because the operating system sends data to *buntu maker Canonical when a user searches the desktop.

But his complaint is already falling on deaf ears—Canonical said today that it plans to increase use of the feature Stallman objects to in order to deliver expanded Internet search results in the next version of *buntu.

Although he tends to go a bit 'overboard', he does make some very valid points

Try replacing "another distro" in the address with you know what.

"*buntu" cannot be mentioned by name on the forum, so the forum is set up to replace it with "another distro". A bit silly in cases like this.
