RadioTray configuraton question
« on: December 07, 2012, 08:31:55 AM »
I run RadioTray on my Lenovo Laptop. I have all my stations configured and set up just he way I like.:)  I'd like to run these on my 17 inch laptop.

Will copying the Lenovo's directory from /usr/share/radiotray/ bring all those stations over to the laptop?

An interesting question, it seems bookmarks.xml has all the configured radio stations

I will keep an eye on this thread  :)

As Crow says I would be inclined to copy over the one file only

/home/<your user name>/.local/share/radiotray/bookmarks.xml

KDE, I can do, after hitting my head against the wall for about 20 minutes  ;D

It might be easier for you to copy the contents from one to another using a text editor of choice.

Did you open the folder as root?

I was in the wrong folder :o

/usr/share/radiotray wouldn't do it.

/.local/share/radiotray worked.

Rather than try and copy things over, it's probably easier to just add he streams again one at a time.  But, i find this to be a bit confusing.  It's not a matter of getting a stream from a radio station's site and plugging it in.

For instance, I like tot listen to LBC. Launching their player and plugging in the stream coe of http://ukrp.musicradio.com/lbc973/live# results in an error in RadioTray.

so, what do i look for to add hese kinds of streams?

I wanted to copy my radiotray stations last year.
I sent myself an email which said:
>>>
bookmarks file goes here:

/home/shimon/.local/share/radiotray/
<<<

And I attached to that email the file bookmarks.xml from that directory.
When I downloaded the file and restarted radiotray, I had my stations! :)

Thanks!  Thisi is great!  I'll certainly use it, but my laptop just died.  I'm going to this thread to post details now.
