Last but not least, the “Quote selected text” lets you highlight text and hit the reply button. This automatically takes the quoted text and inserts it into your reply email. I think this one is the most useful of all three:
Gee - Thunderbird has only had that for 6 or 8 years...
But as Thunderbird is a dedicated stand-alone application
wouldn't it be expected to have more bells and whistles than a browser based app?
And of course the flip side would be users who say it should be kept simple and not have too many features
