All metallic knifes can be both very attractive and extremely durable but they are usually a bit heavy.

So,,, you tell me which is best?

My father in law, a retired blacksmith and all life hunter probably will tell "aluminum"

Some years ago he was telling me that he liked my Victorinox folding knife (a gift from my wife), that week I bought one and gave it to him.  2 or 3 months later we were talking at his home and told me that he didn't like the plastic handles and had changed them. He showed me the knife with beautiful brushed aluminum handles, and told me "is for light works, I like it better this way" I know aluminum is not very hard but in spite of the treatment the knife has received it is still like that day.
I shall pass this way but once;
any good therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show
let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

Aluminum is very light weight and extremely resistant to corrosion. An excellent choice for a knife handle.
