Synaptic crash on cancelling update

What happens :
Synaptic window disappears if installation of updates is cancelled while they are being downloaded.

Steps to reproduce :
Open Synaptic. Reload. Mark all upgrades. Hit Apply. Hit Cancel button as soon as the downloading window pops up.

Just reporting this for information. Has anyone else observed this kind of behaviour or is it unique to my setup?

Similar has been happening for quite some time.

Same thing happens if the repository is not available ......  Synaptic crashes out.

No problems here. I was receiving these type of errors when I had gtk-kde4 rpm and the oxygen-gtk rpm installed:

Not sure if you have these rpm's installed but something with GTK is messing with your sysem.

I was suspecting GTK because there has been something else too.

Suppose I copy a bit of text from any Qt window or a terminal, while pasting it into Firefox, I would not be able to do it at the first Right Click Paste. The paste option would simply be greyed out. On a second or further attempt, it would be successful.

I will have to check on those RPMs.
