print mixed text and images: solved!
« on: November 27, 2012, 09:00:28 PM »
A file on the net is not a pdf, but it has text and screen shots intermixed, and it's long, not just a page. Is there any program for Linux
that will put this file on paper? I have tried LO and Symphony and TextMaker--no dice. (WordPerfect will do it in Windows, I believe.)

I just realized I didn't try OpenOffice. Version 3.4.1 will do it!  Just high-lite the copy and paste it in. You have to get OO off-list, but it
seems to be ahead of Libre.  It would be nice if the PCLOS folks would put OO back in the repos--hint!

Hi

I just did what you describe yesterday. Highlighted, copied and pasted from Firefox to LO. Ended up with 9 pages in LO with pictures and text.
