PCLinuxOS-LXDE-Mini, and Main 2012.12 is now available

HP DV4 laptop with backlight problems, miraculously booted and lit up screen on 2012.06. Not on 2012.12.

Tosh Sat Pro s300. No X window as with mini. The chipset is called Cantiga I believe. Unknown in pclinuxos world?

CPQ V6000 with dual Turion and nv video. Boots to X. 3g network endless loop fail. KDE mini gets a connection with same kit.

This release gets 3/10 for live CD use. Must try harder.

Is this entirely fair?

Reporting issues is good (and welcomed), as it helps pinpoint where there may be problems (not everyone has all kit to test with...certainly not latest and greatest and all times).

Maybe, when reporting problems, more specific details could be supplied.  Exact models.  Chipsets.  Diagnostics (lspci, etc.).  If your not sure, say so, and you'll get some direction to help supply this information...

Thanks.  However, I wasn't really trying to be critical of the entire post.  Constructive criticism can be very good.  It's just that, with computers, more detailed information is required to make the critique useful enough to warrant action...without it...

I have installed and updated LXDE 2012.12 on my Dell Inspiron 530 Desktop. It is a very fine DE and every thing works. Had a little difficulty getting the Volume Icon to the panel, but that is solved. Very good job congratulations to all involved in this distribution.
