Well the free 30 day trial with nag screen ran out and DS would no longer run. I got serious about registering my second instance of DraftSight which I have on the KDE32 Platform 4.8.3. During the process I managed to create a problem for myself as follows.
Registration is simple, insert email address, repeat email address, select country, title and work area. Very simple. I tried 4 or 5 times sending registration details, tried various email addresses as well but despite email apparently go, no acknowledgement email with final registration details or error message.
The error I made was to paste
the email address into the second address field
, on my system this does not work, had to carefully type the second email address
, then I got instant in application acknowledgement message and almost instant second email message to complete registration.
The next run of DraftSight was without nag screen, pheeeww. I also attempted registering on their help forum, to put my problem, but I was unhappy about the extra details required of me so I declined and battled on.
My last desperate attempt was to type the email address
. In the past I have been in the habit of pasting these second repeat requests when joining various forums but got caught out this time.
