A bit more background on this. Mandriva (the developers of drakx) have updated the current version of drakx-net to 0.98 (no that's an incremental number, not an rc for a 1.0), so what we have here is 11 versions old, and couldn't cope with the new wpa_supplicant API. I've investigated packaging it, but it no longer provides net-monitor (now a separate application at Mandriva) and net-applet, which they seem to have abandoned.
TerryN has obviously done a lot to get the old version working (albeit not bug free) and that's great as a stop-gap (and I think he should submit his SRPM for proper testing as it looks better than the repo version), but the long-term decision (which I presume Neal will have to take) is whether pclos forks all the drakx stuff (PCC/MCC etc) or follows Mandriva. I suspect unless pclos gets a lot bigger I know which way it will have to go, but I'm just a 'umble user.
