"Microsoft’s Windows 8 and Windows RT — and dozens of new touch-enabled devices, such as MS’s own Surface tablet — have now been on the market for three weeks. Whether you’re a critic of the new Start screen, a Windows zealot, or just an interested bystander, you’re all probably wondering the same thing: Has the Windows 8 launch been a success or not?

The short answer is: Microsoft, its OEMs, and retailers have been very quiet about the matter. Except for a press release stating that four million copies of Windows 8 had been sold in its opening weekend, Microsoft has been schtum on the matter. At the time we were concerned about the wording of that press release — it was four million copies sold, including copies sold to retailers, rather than four million installs — and now, in the wake of this continuing radio silence, we can probably infer that Windows 8 isn’t doing very well."

My research has shown this to be true. (By asking.)

They typically try to stand behind the product but eventually give in and admit, they don't like it.  ;D

I work with some real computer geeks, including one whose brother owns a computer repair business.  All of my friends said the same thing, 8 ain't worth the time or trouble.  Several of us jumped on the preview copies and tried it out, and we all gave it a failing grade.  My mother bought a laptop that included an 8 upgrade, and she took the upgrade.  She hates everything about it and wishes she hadn't.

While holding down keys <ALT> <CRTL> <BS> <ESC> < F1> <F6>  and <END>   press <Windows> key with you nose and yank out power cord with your toes!  
Works every time!.   ;)
