KDE - Date Time Widget font change applies to date only

I was just experimenting to bring down the font size of date / time display in the bottom panel right corner.
Strange thing I observed was that the font change selected within the widget options applied only to the time portion of the display and not the date.

Has any one else observed this behaviour?

Mine is acting the opposite way, the time is changing font but not the date. ???

My bad. It was a psil of gontue. I should vahe told you that it was the time indeed changing font but not date ;) ;) ;)

Just to add to the mix, I can change the date font but the time font remains unchanged.  2012.08 mini updated.
