To my daughter
« on: November 17, 2012, 02:55:04 PM »
I watched you grow up from a toddler to a teen
All the heartbreak in between
I once looked at you as a child
Oh how so fast you have grown
I love you deeply
With all my heart
Never wanting us to part
You are now a woman on your way
To another perfect day

To my beautiful daughter who is expecting my second grandchild tomorrow.

I love you Danielle

It takes a REAL father to openly express his love for his daughter in public. Good for you, chilly and congratulations. I hope to have my turn in the near future.

Hi  chilly.
Children grow up so quickly, don't they.
My youngest boy is 28, and he and his girl friend is expecting there first child ( It's a boy )but I still think of him as the cheeky little 8 year old he used to be.
I hope every thing goes well for your daughter and the baby.
Regards Jim

Thankyou everybody, although i live a long way from her we keep in touch everyday,if i do not phone her
she will text me and say "phone me now dad".

I have a lovely grandson to her called kaiden and he is so clever,at 1 year old he was shouting GRANDAD on the phone.
My new granddaughter will be called laylajade and i cannot wait to go see her.
Yes jim time is fleeting,we all get older but it is a shock to see your kids all grown up.

When kaiden was born she phoned me up 2 minutes after the birth so i would not be worrying,we have a strong father/daughter relationship
i never spoiled her but was always there when she needed me and hope to be in the future.

A happy father is a good grandfather

Many congratulations, chilly!

And what a beautiful way to tell your daughter how much you love her!

Thanks so much for sharing  :)

Congratulations! Very nice.
There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

Congratulations chilly !  Not only on having a second grandchild but on having such an apparently beautiful relationship with your daughter.

I hope you have in some way shared these thoughts with her and not just with us.

With your poem, you have given us all hope for the world and love for our families.

Thanks man!  ;D ;D ;D

May your relationship with your grandchildren be as close as your relationship seems to be with your daughter.  But remember everyone, your kids determine which nursing home you will end your days in.
